LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Territorial acknowledgement: Our learning and research takes place on the ancestral territory of the Secwépemc, within the unceded lands of Secwepemcul’ecw, the unceded territory of the Hul’q’umi’num speaking people, on the Quw’utsun Nations, and the unceded territories of the qiqéyt (Qayqayt) First Nation and Coast Salish peoples

All of British Columbia has been stewarded by Indigenous peoples since time immemorial. British Columbia is home to more than 200 distinct First Nations.

Indigenous peoples have always cared for and nourished these lands. As guests on this land, we commit to learning from and walking alongside those who have always called this land home.
